This week Carter and Jared are at basketball camp from 9am-3pm. So, I planned some fun things to do with Claire. Monday we went shopping. When I told her we were going shopping she asked if it was to the cookie place-Kroger, the only place she shops at regularly and a favorite due to the free cookies. When we got to the mall she remembered it, especailly the cookies they have(yes, she still loves food too much). We picked out a first day of school outfit together. She wanted a dress of course. She loved every dress she came across and I had to come up with new reasons each tacky/ugly dress wasn't quite right. We finally found the perfect one. We also found lots of sales and she had her first experience using a dressing room. She loved it. We ate at the food court and got a yummy cookie that was not free but tasted much better. Tuesday we went to a play group at the park and enjoyed our unusually cool July weather. Wednesday we invited all the girl cousins to come swim at our pool. Today we have made cookies together and had some fun with the camera. It's been a fun week. I have enjoyed my one on one time with Claire.

Tears in my eyes. What a great week of girl bonding. I loved the story of shopping for clothes---first time using a dressing room. Oh, life as a "grown up" girl has just begun and the dressing room will become her best friend. And, of course, I loved the pictures!
