We had a wonderful 4th of July! It started out early, well early for us, we have older kids now and really enjoy sleeping. We met two other families that also own boats out on the lake at 8:30 am. And we started musical boats. Every hour or so the three boats would meet up and the kids would jump in the water swimming to the next chosen boat. We tubed, we wake- boarded, we skied, and we knee boarded. At one point we tied up all three boats and swam. Between the three families there were 15 kids, and they all had such a blast together, showing off their skills and trying to be the last one left on the tube. This fun went longer than excepted and we didn't get home until 2pm and had time to grab some food, and prepare some more food for the BBQ at 4pm with the same 2 families plus 2 more. I think the kid count got up to 20+. At the BBQ there was a homemade slip-n-slide. We have been blessed to be invited over to enjoy this monster before, and this time was just as fun. We ended the long but fun day with our own fireworks and watching others around us. What a great day. My kids were always smiling and even thanked us for a great day on the way home.
