He is sweet in many ways. It seems that the older he gets the more loving he becomes. I hear "I love you" more and more, and I get more hugs and kisses as the years pass. He is know for his "Jared hugs"-they are THE best. And he freely shares them and has a cute smile when he does, like he knows he is giving me a gift. Which he is.
Last night Jared, Carter and Allen were playing basketball outside and I went out to watch for a bit. I slid on my tennis shoes (even though I had dress pants on) and pulled on a non-flattering coat. It was the end of the day, and most the make-up was gone, hair was flat. I was even sporting a nice pimple. Why am I telling you this? Well, after a little while, Jared said, "mom, you look good". I first thought he was kidding, then I asked him what he wanted. He just said, "nothing, I just think you look nice". Well, thank you Jared! I am still smiling about it today. So, I thought I should write it down. So both Jared and I can remember what a sweet 10 year old he was.

Oh, that makes me smile! Kids are the best. Unconditional love abounds.
Well done, Jared. He's still the gentle giant, right?
Yes, that gentle giant has come a long ways since the days of throwing shoes at his grandparents. :)
I love that he says, "I love you" more and more. That is a sweet boy!
