Con: we were told it would be another month before we could move into our new house.
Pro: the same day Grammy/Grandpa offered to watch kids for our anniversary, so we jumped on this and planned a trip for the very next week-make our wait a little more bearable. (Mimi and Grand Dad ended up watching the kids some too-thanks to all of you!)
Pro: we got to go to Belize (thanks to bartering and frequent flyer miles).
Con: we had to ride a VERY small plane to get to our island.
Pro: I have reaffirmed my decision not to let Allen take flying lessons until the kids are in college.
Pro: we went on the best snorkeling trip to date (saw tons of different fish, turtles, stingrays, lobsters, and very large nurse sharks).
Con: I got sea sick and threw up over board.
Pro: this caused hundreds of fish to come over and eat my lunch, so at least I had something to look at during my pain.

Wow, you never told me about the puking part of the trip. I'll have to remember that trick if I ever want to attract some fish.
I'd say the "pros" far outweigh the "cons." What a fantastic trip, and we enjoyed every minute of when the children were in our care. Great pictures.
I had never heard the puking story, either. Oh, my! I wonder how the snorkeling guide felt about this mishap? I wonder if he sees it happen very often?

that reminds me of how my solid gold toilet is kind of uncomfortable to sit on :)
btw, please don't let allen take flying lessons. allen, you have a long full life ahead of you. recreational aviation is like the 2nd leading cause of death among doctors and dentists in utah. don't do it!
