spring break

For spring break our family did a lot of little things that added up to a lot of fun. Monday the kids and I went to the indoor water park with some friends, Tuesday they built a dam in our back yard creek with the Cruze kids. Wednesday through Friday we spent up in our mountains with the Sextons enjoying: Magi Quest-something my kids have been dying to do ever since it came to our neck of the woods. First you get to choose your wand and then you go on quests and adventures through the forest, village and castle. And when you are done you take your wand home until the next trip to Magi Quest where you can start from where you left off. It is really well done and they loved it. Then we took a great hike, rode go-carts, and had unlimited arcade time. Then Friday night the boys went spelunking with the Sexton and Cruze men (they all enjoyed getting dirty squeezing through tight spaces like the "meat grinder" and the "birth canal") while Claire and I had a fun time at the mall buying clothes and eating cookies.

I've never heard of that Magi thing--it sounds awesome. Maybe we should add it to the list of possibilities for the reunion?
By the way, you spelled a swear instead of a water-stopping structure. :)

Ha, Lori you beat me to it! You really should try to tone down the language Julie!

Had a great time with you guys over spring break!

Wow! This spring break vacation sounds like more fun than if you'd gone half way around the world.

I wasn't going to say anything about the misspelled word because I do things just like that too many times. Now if you go back and correct it right now, no one will know what it was. Do it! (I spelled "truly" as "truely" for half my adult life.)

I actually have a complete disdain for all water-stopping structures and so my mistake was not in my spelling of the adjective, but in the omission of the following noun. I have, however, decided just to change it to "dam" without any descriptive wording preceeding it to placate all you prudes. (this post may-or-may-not have been written by julie's husband after she called to have me change the post at work, since she was out).
