The day went great. Claire was all smiles and no fear. She told me one of her friends looks just like her (Asian). Jared agreed that Carter's old third grade teacher is indeed the coolest teacher on the planet. Carter thought he was too old , now that he was in fifth grade, to have his mom walk him into class the first day. I said tough, this was my last year and I was going to enjoy it. I did say I wouldn't bring my camera in. (the class room was full of moms-one took Carter's picture)

The Carter story cracks me up. Everyone looks great, too.
They are growing up fast. Did you do anything to encourage Jared's sense of style? All of my boys style sense is based on the shortest way to get the shopping done.
what kind of bush is that behind them? it looks lovely.
this is claire's first year right? i can't wait for k. to start.
Love those "first day of school" pictures. The kids look so eager and ready to begin a new year of learning. Hope those smiles and "styles" last them the entire school year.
Don't forget to tell them to wash their hands with alcohol gel after any contact with anybody at school. At least 20x a day. We are expecting a bit wave of H1N1 flu about a month after school starts...
