This little piece of paper has made my life much more peaceful. During Christmas break Allen noticed how I was constantly having to nag the boys to practice piano. He didn't like this and came up with this great idea. We call it a chore list but really it is just a list of all the things the boys should be doing every day, chore or not.(We have things like prayers, reading and even pull-ups on it-Allen's idea) So, now they have a list to go off of instead of me telling them it was time to take the garbage out or practice piano. Of course we did say that every 3-4 weeks, if they do well on it, they get an award. Like going to see a movie or some candy from our local chocolate store. We don't do allowance in our house (at least not now) and so this has been a nice substitute. It is an award for not having mom and dad have to tell you what to do and being responsible, not for doing the chores, which are just expected from being a part of the family. Carter's personality loved this idea of checking things off. And surprisingly Jared has really enjoyed it. But no one loves it more than me. It is now April and I have not had to nag one time and things are getting done. Heaven. Thanks Allen.
